Feeling too empathic?

Empathy is great when it helps us walk a mile in the other person's shoes so we can be more understanding and compassionate. But when we are so open that we don't know where we end and the other person's energy begins, it can be a real problem.
 
 
Here are some quick and easy ideas to help get you through the day. You can do these as many times and as often as you need to.
 
1) Cocoon of Protection
 
Sit quietly. Close your eyes.  Take a couple deep cleansing breaths.
 
Then state, " I ask my Guardians to place a cocoon of protection around me to keep out all negativity and allow in the good. I ask that this cocoon be pulled in tight around me to keep my energy intact and prevent it from leaking out to anyone else. I now ask that a second cocoon be placed around me about a foot away from my body to add extra protection. Thank you."

2) Contain the Other Person's Energy
 
Imagine a tube of inward facing mirrors around the person whose energy affects you. Pop a lid on it.
